Golfers elbow or medial epicondylitis

pain in the  the inside of the elbow at the junction of the muscles of the fingers and wrist (flexor)  . Because this disease is common among golfers, it is called by this name. The pain may also radiate to the fingers and arm.

the reason:Excessive and prolonged pressure on the muscles of the wrist and fingers can cause damage to the joint of these muscles with the end of the humerus and small tears in the tendon (inner part of the elbow). Diagnosis:It is given by performing a physical examination and examining the history of the disease. Usually, there is no need to do a radiological examination. Although sometimes X-Ray or MRI may be requested for further investigation.


treatment:1. Resting the injured tissue by avoiding doing harmful and pain-intensifying movements, for example, lifting objects while the palm is up.
2. Cold water compress several times a day
3. Anti-inflammatory drugs such as NSAID types: Ibuprofen and...
4. Braces or special elbow braces to reduce pressure on the injured tendon.
5. Using taping tapes periodically.

7. Steroid injection around the injured tendon. Ozone gas can also be used.
